Our History
Englishman William Mortimer arrived in Muskoka in 1876. Granted a plot of land on Lake Muskoka, he was the first of many Mortimer’s to shape the culture and aesthetic of Muskoka’s world-famous cottage country. Generations later, Dan and Jason Mortimer carry on the family legacy as the owners of Cottage Country Builders, designing and constructing beautiful cottages that can be passed down through the families of his clients.
